Extended Care Permit: Dental Safety Net in Kansas and Missouri Online CE Course
Changes in Kansas and Missouri now allow dental hygienists to work in many non-traditional and "extended care or public health settings" such as schools, nursing homes and community clinics.
The UMKC School of Dentistry Division of Dental Hygiene offers an on-line CE course, entitled "Extended Care Permit Preparation: Dental Safety Net in Kansas & Missouri". This course will enable dental hygienists to prepare themselves for practicing in non-traditional and public health settings in both Kansas and Missouri. You can complete the course's 12 learning modules at your own pace on your own computer over a semester's time. The course is offered in the Fall and Spring Semesters.
